Call: ERUA Biennale “Arts&Edges”, Lesbos, May 2027 (in-person)
The ERUA Biennale ‘Arts & Edges’ invites researchers, lecturers, PhD students and Master’s students to submit proposals for its second edition. From 28 to 30 May 2027, the event will bring together art, academia and society on Lesbos (Greece). We welcome, amongst other things, workshops, exhibitions, performances and research presentations on topics such as migration, sustainability, democracy and cultural diversity.
The Biennale is aimed at researchers (university lecturers, postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, postgraduate students) from the member and associated institutes of the ERUA Alliance, researchers and artists collaborating with these institutions, as well as local organisations within the ERUA Alliance.
Proposals relating to ‘Arts & Edges’ may cover at least one of the following areas:
- Migration, exile, refugees and borders
- Environmental change
- Democracy, human rights, inclusion and gender equality
- Culture, interculturalism and multilingualism
- Current issues in the public sphere
- Innovative practices: from research to education
- Interventions and experiments in local communities
Applications must be submitted by 15 February 2027, 23:59 (CET).
