Opening of the first border information point in Guben
On Wednesday, 18 June 2025, the first border information point in the German-Polish border region will be opened at the Spree-Neisse-Bober Euroregion office in Guben.
Border Information Points (GIP) offer information, personal advice and referral counselling on issues relating to cross-border working, learning or living. The GIPs rely on the support of a broad network of specialised partners (including, for example, specialists from employment agencies, social insurance agencies, trade unions and tax authorities). The establishment of border information points (GIP) on the Polish-German border is funded by the EU cooperation programme INTERREG VI A Brandenburg - Poland 2021-2027.
Further information on the project and the current Office hours of the GIP office can be found at:
On the occasion of the German-Polish Info Day on 18 June (from 2 pm in the Alte Färberei in Guben), the first cooperation agreements with German and Polish network partners in the GIP project will be signed and the GIP office will be opened.
The opening was preceded by two training sessions for the academic staff of the Viadrina Center B/ORDERS IN MOTION. Dr Norbert Cyrus and Sara Bonin are responsible for the evaluation and training of project staff and partners as part of the project.
