German-Polish cross-border cooperation between regions and municipalities has undergone many changes and upheavals in recent decades. In addition to increasing interdependencies and cross-border European cooperation efforts by territorial authorities, intensified national border demarcation processes can be observed along the Oder-Neisse border. The project volume brings together contributions from the research network "Linking Borderlands". From the perspective of political and administrative science on the one hand and spatial planning and development on the other, current dynamics and challenges of subnational cooperation between Germany and Poland are examined using the example of the cross-border region Brandenburg-Lubuskie.

With contributions from Centre members Peter Ulrich, Moritz Filter, Dagna Zinkhahn Rhobodes and Sara Bonin as well as Viadrina researcher Anja Hennig.
