Prof. Dr. Sabrina Zajak

Prof. Dr. Sabrina Zajak is a Fellow of the Research Group "Regulatory Questions of Transnational Work - Perspectives of Interdisciplinary Research" at the Viadrina Center B/ORDERS IN MOTION in the winter semester 2017/18. After her studies of social science at Humboldt University, Berlin she obtained her Ph.D. on the topic 'Transnational Influences of Trade Unions and NGOs on Industrial Relations in China' (2012) “International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy”, Cologne. She is co-founder and (since January 2013) deputy chairperson of the board of the Institute for 'Protest and movement research' in Berlin. Research trips have taken her to the People's Republic of China, USA, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Her research interests include (transnational) political sociology, social movements and transnational activism, as well as global governance and transnational institutions.
